Overview
Twin-Vessel Filter + Softener, Automatic
When the raw water is cloudy, softening alone is not enough. The first vessel is a pressure sand filter: graded gravel, coarse sand and fine sand trap suspended solids and turbidity, and its Runxin valve backwashes the bed automatically. The clarified water then passes into the softener vessel, which regenerates with brine on its own schedule. The 556-series filter valves are the ones ORG specifies for sand filters working alongside a softener.
- Stage 1: pressure sand filter with graded gravel, coarse and fine sand
- Stage 2: ion-exchange softener with INDION 220 Na resin
- Two Runxin automatic valves: filter backwash and softener regeneration

Good to know
Output per regeneration is quoted at 200 ppm hardness. Harder water means more frequent regeneration; your water report tells us exactly.
Softeners treat water for bathing, washing and appliances. For drinking water, pair with an RO purifier.
