Overview
20-inch Pre-filter Housing
A softener's resin bed is not a dirt filter. Sand, silt and rust flakes that get into it pack the top of the bed, cut the flow and scratch the valve's seals. A 20-inch pre-filter housing with a spun or bag cartridge catches them first, and the cartridge is a cheap part to change at each service visit.
